Notes Companion piece to 21 Grams, an alternate ending to GraveShe was sobbing, in his arms – the only place she ever truly felt safe – and he was letting her.

She'd almost killed him. Almost killed them all. Almost killed the world. And he was murmuring platitudes into her hair as if all that mattered was she's okay.
"It'll be alright." He breathed and she finally built up the courage to look at him.

She saw nothing but love in his eyes, her oldest friend, her soulmate, he would make it alright.

He kissed her, she blinked but didn't pull away.

His hands cradled her head and twisted.

Darkness claimed her.
